Is there a cost per minute for video production?
No. We have produced two minute video's with
a 50,000 budget and 60 minute videos for $2,000. Budgeting for
a video is much like buying a car, first you need to determine
if you want a Hyundai or a Mercedes. Then you need to decide what
options you want to enhance your final product.
How long does it take to produce a video?
Six to eight weeks is a typical time frame from
initial meeting to project completion. This time frame can be
compressed to as little as four days pending the type of video
required.
What are the steps in producing a video?
In the first phase we will asses the project.
Second, a script writer will work with a content expert(s) to
deliver a first draft of the script. Once a final script is approved
final production plans are performed. This includes crew, talent,
location scouts and equipment arrangements. The fourth phase is
the actual production phase or 'shooting". Next, the tape enters
"post-production", where all editing takes place and music is
added. Once the master is approved the video will enter the "duplication"
phase. It is here that it will be copied on tape, DVD, CD Rom,
or prepared for the web.
What is required of the Client?
The client at the least is required to establish
content experts, set-up approval meetings, and provide access
to all people involved in the production. For example, the client
will need to coordinate schedules with any internal officers that
may be part of the production. If the production involves a customer,
be the conduit that information can pass through from the production
team to the customer and visa versa.
